acer iconia a500 recieves US update OTA

Just received my update OTA! I lost root but used gingerbreak vs1.2 with portrait lock and USB debugging enabled to easily re root the device. Updated kernal and firmware to 1.141.07

The new Acer iconia tablet hit the scene and was an instant success. Now we need people working on getting a solid recovery. Without google releasing the honeycomb source and without Acer following through on its GPL license agreement for the linux kernal it uses we are kinda just sitting here with lot a of options but no safety Net to try any of them. Acer better get ready to follow the rules of Open license agreements or there in for a rude awakening.

Its finally here and as luck would have it im working ;( I offically had 3 people call in sick today between the ages of 19-27 and they all said the same thing. They didnt get any sleep last night??? Hmmmm.....National Call of Duty Day? If your thinking about calling into work then today wouldve been your day to do so. Whats the worst that could happin? a 3 day suspension? I mean vacation.

OMGPWNAGEBBQSAUSE.... this look familiar? If you seeing this kinda of leet speak on a regular basis then you've more than likely had a chance to meet a shadow priest with a special affinity for spam. If you havent heard, when the patch dropped there was a issue with shadow word death that allowed the caster to reign havok on himself and his unwitting opponent!
Update: as of now Blizzard released a hot fix that stopped the spamming but almost it seems they've messed with our mastery. When the nerf hammer hits it hits hard!!

Knowledge here from the Kaisinel Server. Just wanted to let all who didnt know already that your suprise attacks(backstabs) are useable for more than just an opening attack!! If a MOB is currently using ANY action/spell the same rules apply for them as do for us. Whats that mean? its means that while the MOB is in the process of dealing damage via attack skill or spell it renders them inmobile in order to finish its skill opperation. That equals AWSOMENESS for Assasins. Its very simple to get off backstabs without having to sneak up on your enemy. While running your usual rotation take note of the Mob and when hes preparing to swing or attack. Simply run through the MOB so that your back to back and quickly click Suprise attack. This will cause your character to spin around automatically and backstab the MOB before he even finishes his attack.

dont worry about trying to walk around the mob or to turn your character around. All this does it take time and before you know it your mob will have completed his action and be turned right around with you. Even if your back is to a mob and you click a melee ability its will instantly turn your character around to attack!

Another Useful tactic for dealing with Stealth seeing MOBS. click your Evasion ability then Charge attack them. 1 of 2 things will happin.

Either A: You Charge attack and your evasion ability will cause them to miss there first swing which opens up your Counter attack which stuns them and then you walk through the MOB as I stated above for your free backstab!

Or B: Sometime when you Charge the MOB, pathing is a little goofey. but it works to our benefit so no complaint from me. What will acually happin is as you charge the mob, somtimes it will cause you to charge all the way to the center most part of the MOB. which makes them acually run through YOU and look for a spot thats of the right distance for Them to attack! Whats that mean? That means that somtimes right after you Charge attack the mob it will acually turn its back to you to find a place to mount an attack. So when you see this happin just hurry and click your Suprise attack.

By far the best character creation process ive ever went through!!! I literally spent 2 hours making my Hero hottness just right. Talk about options. With billions of combinations to choose from you can get lost for hours on each and every piece of the body. I found randomizing everything and locking in the features I liked and ditching thes ones I hated worked the best. Ok so youve got your BADASS superman costume picked out....now what??? Every kids dream, thats what!! If you could have any super power in the whole world what would it be? You can see why it takes so long to create your first character. If you can dream it, you can be it: Telekinesis,telepathy,super strength,super speed,supenatural powers,martial arts, ect,ect,ect,ect,ect you get my point. With all the time ive spent making my super hero, super badass, I really havent gotten past lvl 10. As we speak im dying to head home and unleash my wickedness upon millenium city evil do-ers :)

PS3 Slim hits September 1 for $300, PS3 price cut Wednesday
Sony has made it official: the PS3 Slim launches the first week of September for $300, and existing hardware is also marked down to $300 tomorrow. The PSP will also enjoy comic book content, and "minis"—small, downloadable games.

The PS3 Slim has officially been confirmed by Sony, and it's coming in at a great price: $299.99. The system will be available in the first week of September, feature a 120GB hard drive, and will be around a third smaller and lighter than the first-generation systems. It gets better: if you don't want to wait on the Slim, tomorrow you'll be able to go to your favorite retailer and buy an existing PS3 for $299.99 as well.

Don't expect any changes in hardware or features outside of the smaller and lighter case; the PS3 Slim will do all the things current systems on store shelves can do, and will fail at the things the current hardware fails at. It's time to finally give up the dream of backwards compatibility.

Sony did reveal other things at its press conference, although none were quite as exciting. If you pick up a PSP Go at launch and register before October 10, you'll receive a free copy of Gran Turismo PSP for your shiny new system, which should help you deal with the sticker shock of buying a $250 console with no physical port for games. [Update: this is only for the European launch] There will also be an area of the PlayStation Network for "minis," games under 100MB that should be less expensive than full releases. Think of it as an Xbox Live Arcade for the PSP Go.

There will be minis available on October 1 to go along with the launch of the system, with more added as time goes on. Debut titles include Hero of Sparta, Tetris, and Minigore. In other words, expect to see some iPhone ports.

Sony also announced an upcoming comic reader for the PSP, offering access to hundreds of Marvel Comics, along with Archie Comics and Image titles. There was scant information on the cost of this service and no firm release date, but fans of digital comics should be able to get their fill of new releases through Sony's portable system.

A tin foil hat is a piece of headgear made from one or more sheets of aluminium foil or similar material. Alternatively it may be a conventional hat lined with foil. After all the hub-ub of Blizzcon im left with a sour taste in my mouth. No Diablo 3 release date!!!! I think we all knew deep down there wasnt going to be any groundbreaking D3 news. I mean lets face it. Blizzard is so stuck on WOW that they feel they can set other Games aside. Not a smart move in my opinion.... Blizzard brings in roughly 100 millon dollars a month and the best they can do is blame it on employee resources. Heres a clue for you guys, HIRE MORE PEOPLE. More employees means more quality content, more games in general, and pure global domination. So why I ask are we all waiting for a bunch of games that have been in the making for years, and have years left before there completed? Cause blizzard said so thats why....?
